Transferring files or even bits of information between platforms can be quite complicated in certain cases. This is where Pushbullet comes in to help you connect all your devices. The software facilitates communications between PCs, Macs, Android and iOS mobile devices and web browsers. It gives you the possibility of sending notes, web links and files between the aforementioned devices on the fly.

Pushbullet is offered free of charge for all platforms. It can be installed in just a few moments, without any difficulties. It doesn't have any special requirements and it doesn't use a significant amount of disk space or RAM.

Once the application is installed, you can use your Facebook or Google account to sign into the desktop user interface. Pushbullet's functionality is similar to that of a cloud application. The computers, browsers and mobile devices you link to your online account will be displayed on the same user interface, from where you can send messages and data between them.

The desktop user interface has a clean and simple design. All connected devices are displayed in a column, on the left side and you can view the posted messages and files on the right side. You can either view everything at once or filter the contents by the devices for which it was sent.

You can push contents to a device of your choice at any time. All you have to do is select a device and type, paste or import a file, on a small window. The contents will be uploaded and made available for the target device almost instantly.

Pros

You can share text, links and files between different devices. Setting up the application is very easy on all platforms.

Cons

You may have difficulties running the application on iOS. Pushbullet gives you the possibility of bridging the gap between any platforms in just a few seconds.
